Welcome to the review of council housing finances

CLG and HM Treasury are undertaking a fundamental review of the Housing Revenue Account subsidy system.

This is also a time when the system for regulating standards in social housing is changing, and there are interesting debates on what and how standards should be set, costed and funded.

This discussion site provides an opportunity for practitioners and others to put forward their questions, comments and ideas on the way forward.  Please read the brief terms and conditions for participating on this site (see below), and register to take part in this significant debate.

The housing reform debate:   CIH are also hosting a separate E-discussion on how we should reform rented housing. You can access this at the housing reform debate
